2022\u00a0 <\/span>has brought some stimulating collaborations to Gong such as with EWT agency<\/a> in Milan – lead by entrepreneur Mako Onfermann – and with the automotive colossus Maserati<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The two projects required our all-round musical consultancy, from DJ sets to synchronisation to the creation of a customised song. Two big campaigns for the launch of two racing cars: the first is none other than the long awaited MC20 Cielo<\/a>, the iconic cabrio with an adjustable roof, the second is a Formula E<\/a> car, presented in front of the cathedral in Modena.<\/p>\n

As part of the first presentation, a virtual sky was recreated with powerful Led walls and a retro-projected dome. The music by Gong – a mix of krautrock and electronic arpeggios –\u00a0 <\/span>kept the guests company from the beginning of this sensory journey. The sound of a helicopter was played in stereo then our original song, \u201cBeyond the Sky\u201d,\u00a0 <\/span>made the cockpit roof \u201cexplode\u201d with an orchestral and electronic crescendo in the background.<\/p>\n

The presentation of the Formula E – the company’s first fully electric racing model – \u00a0 <\/span>had a more musical impact, rather than visual. We musically created the anticipation via electronic arpeggios emulating a virtual , future F1 race, with a final \u201cexplosion\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>unveiling the moment the car appeared.<\/p>\n

It’s been a fruitful and electrifying collaboration for us we are definitely keen on doing more with Formula.<\/p>\n
